Good God (Part 2 Notes)

You can’t give right unless you have the right heart.

God’s the master. I’m his servant.

Sowing & reaping doesn’t work until we get our hearts right.

“Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?”

Matthew 6:26 (NIV)

Your provision is not dependent on your works but on how much He loves you.

  • Foundation #1 – In God We Trust
  • Foundation #2 – God is the Owner

“The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field.  45 “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls. 46 When he found one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it.

Matthew 13:44-46 (NIV)

“No one who looks back after putting his hand to the plow is suited to the Kingdom of God.”

Luke 9:62 (NIV)

No disciple is moaning about the cost – they are celebrating the opportunity.

25 “As massive crowds followed Jesus, he turned to them and said, 26 ‘When you follow me as my disciple, you must put aside your father, your mother, your wife, your sisters, your brothers—yes, you will even seem as though you hate your own life. This is the price you’ll pay to be considered one of my followers. 27 And anyone who comes to me must be willing to share my cross and experience it as his own, or he cannot be considered to be my disciple. 33 Likewise, unless you surrender all to me, giving up all you possess, you cannot be one of my disciples.’”

Luke 14:25-27,33 (TPT)

God is the owner.

God rewards obedience, He does not reward stupidity.

I have no need to worry because all I have is a gift from my heavenly Father who loves me.
