Living from the River of Abundance (Notes)

You can trust God or you can trust money.

The foundation of supernatural finances is becoming a faithful steward of God’s resource.

Trusting God with your finances is the least use of our faith.

Prosperity if not measured in the abundance of your possessions but by how much you give away.

“I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.”

John 10:10 (ESV)

‘Zoe’ – life as God Himself has it

In him was life and the life was the light of humanity

John 1:4

Jesus was called the prince of life

Acts 3:15

I am the Life

John 14:6

I am the bread of life, he who comes to me shall not hunger, and he who believes in me shall never thirst.

John 6:35

I am the light of the world, he who follows me shall not walk in darkness, but he shall have the light of life.

John 8:12

Accessing the reality of God’s world in any situation that you are going into.

“Jesus wrecked every funeral that he ever went to, including his own!”

Pastor Bill Johnson

Jesus blesses you with more than enough so that you can be a blessing to others.

He who did not spare his own son, but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?

Romans 8:32

Prosperity is not what you have rather, it’s Who you have.

I feel confident because I know who is with me and I bring Him into every circumstance and situation.

The central message of prosperity is this: In the kingdom there is always enough because God is without limits and Christ has declared us worthy to receive all that is his as sons and daughters.

“Death once held us in its grip, and by the blunder of one man, death reigned as king over humanity. But now, how much more are we held in the grip of grace and continue reigning as kings in life, enjoying our regal freedom through the gift of perfect righteousness in the one and only Jesus, the Messiah!”

Romans 5:17 (TPT)

Everywhere the sole of your foot will tread, I have already given to you.

Joshua 1:3

And my God shall supply all your needs according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Phil 4:19

He who did not spare his own son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things.

Romans 8:32

For all the promises of God in Him are yes! And in him amen to the glory of God through us.

2 Corinthians 1:20

And God is able to make all grace abound towards you, always having all sufficiency in all things you may have an abundance for every good work.

2 Corinthians 9:8

Beloved I pray that you may prosper in all things, and be in health just as your soul prospers. How much do you think that God wants your soul to prosper? He is saying that is the level that I want you to prosper in, all things.

3 John 1:2

If you being evil know how to give good gifts to you children, how much more will your heavenly father give good gifts to those who ask him

Matt 7:11

Those that seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing.

Psalm 34:10

Let them shout for joy and be glad who favour my righteous cause and let them say continually let the lord be magnified for his pleasure and the prosperity of his servants.

Psalm 25:27

The Lord will open to you his good treasure, the heavens, to give rain to your land in its season and bless all of the work of your hand. You shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow. The lord will make you the head and not the tail and you shall be above only and not be beneath.

Deuteronomy 28:12-13

Abundant life is not so that you can just prosper financially and have those things, it is so that you can cooperate with God and have your heart changed. Money is a gauge for your spiritual life. It shows where you are really putting your trust.

Abundant life is so that you never meet a situation in your own strength but it is always in the strength of Christ.

And God is able to make all grace abound towards you so that you, always having all sufficiency, in all things, may have an abundance for very good work.

2 Corinthians 9

True prosperity is about giving and having the ability to abound unto every good work.

Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb 2 down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. 3 No longer will there be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will serve him. 4 They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. 5 There will be no more night. They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them light. And they will reign for ever and ever.

Revelation 22:1-5

God, I renounce my agreement with the lies of poverty. I renounce my agreement with lack and I expect the reality of prosperity and abundance in my life. What belongs to Jesus now belongs to me. I expect opportunities and favour, I expect wisdom, peace, forgiveness, love and knowledge, I believe that you desire to give me more than enough resources, to meet my needs and to be generous to others. I believe that you will give me everything I need and more to fulfil all that you have put in my heart to do. I thank you that as you train me to exercise my authority in you, I get to know you and your heart. You are the real treasure.
