EKKLESIA: STEWARDING A MOVE OF GOD (Notes, June 7th)

We need a move of God.

“‘In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on ALL people.  Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams.  18 Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days,  and they will prophesy.”

Acts 4:17-18 (NIV)

We want the oak tree – God gives us an acorn.

God’s heart is salvation of souls/changing the generations.

Bill Johnson – Revival is the heart of God made manifest.

We’re never going to change what’s on the outside unless we start by changing what’s on the inside.

It’s vital that we protect what God is doing in the House.

God has a habit of doing things that are offensive to our mind.

Paschal – We are given enough light for those who desire to see – and enough obscurity for those who are bent toward a contrary disposition.

God will offend your mind to reveal your heart.

They stood there amazed and perplexed. “What can this mean?” they asked each other.  13 But others in the crowd ridiculed them, saying, “They’re just drunk, that’s all!”

Acts 2:12-13 (NLT)

Intellect is important – but the mind will never lead you into revival.

Humility and Repentance.

“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never KNEW you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’

Matthew 7: 21-23 (NKJV)

“The only clean stable is an empty stable. So if you want the work of an ox and to enjoy an abundant harvest, you’ll have a mess or two to clean up!”

Proverbs 14:4 (TPT)

I’m not here to analyze the move of God – I’m here to be wrecked by the move of God.  I’m here to be rearranged by the move of God.

Humility and repentance will be the identifying marker of the Christ follower.

We often pursue a Gospel that we can understand – which is really a Gospel we can control.

If misunderstanding leads you to offense instead of brokenness, we’ve missed the opportunity for transformation.
