God Wants to Use You (Pastor Jose Rodriguez, 2/28/2021)
The Bible in Ephesians 2:10 tells us that God has prepared in advance good works He wants us to do. What this means is that even before we were born, God had in mind a work, an assignment, a role for every one of us which He brought us to this earth to fulfill. The fact that these good works are things created and prepared by God, goes to show that the Almighty, the Most High, the King of Creation has interest in your life and wants to use your life for His glory
What is divine assignment?
In a nutshell, I would say that: Your divine assignment is doing what God wants you to do; having what God wants you to have; going where God wants you to go and then becoming who God ultimately wants you to become which is Christ-like
An assignment is a task that someone in authority has asked you to do. The word assignment is just the noun form of the common verb assign, which you use when you want to give someone a duty or a job. When you assign something, that something is called an assignment
God isn’t going to come down physically to address or attend to the burning and pressing issues in our world today. It is you and I He will use to address these issues. This is why Matthew 5:13 describes us as the salt of the earth. Salt makes food sweet and tasty. In other words, God has put something in you to sweeten or make your church, family and nation much better than what it is today. God has set you aside to do certain things that will be of immense benefit to mankind.
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them
Ephesians 2:10
God has given everyone an assignment! An assignment is a mission or position to which a person is assigned. We each have a position in the Body of Christ and a distinct mission to fulfill… and God has perfectly equipped us to succeed in His assignment. All visionary leaders have to some degree recognized and embraced this charge
But get up and stand on your feet; for this purpose I have appeared to you, to appoint you a minister and a witness not only to the things which you have seen, but also to the things in which I will appear to you
Acts 26:16
This was in accordance with the eternal purpose which He carried out in Christ Jesus
Ephesians 3:11
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord , thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.
Jeremiah 29 ,11,12
