Greater Things | Good God – Part 3 (Notes)

12 “I tell you this timeless truth: The person who follows me in faith, believing in me, will do the same mighty miracles that I do—even greater miracles than these because I go to be with my Father! 13 For I will do whatever you ask me to do when you ask me in my name. And that is how the Son will show what the Father is really like and bring glory to him. 14 Ask me anything in my name, and I will do it for you!”

John 14:12-13 (TPT)

10 “The one who manages the little he has been given with faithfulness and integrity will be promoted and trusted with greater responsibilities. But those who cheat with the little they have been given will not be considered trustworthy to receive more. 11 If you have not handled the riches of this world with integrity, why should you be trusted with the eternal treasures of the spiritual world? 12 And if you’ve not been proven faithful with what belongs to another, why should you be given wealth of your own?

Luke 16:10-12 (TPT)

Giving to get is manipulation.

A good Father wants to meet all of your needs with more than enough to be a blessing to others.

Any genuine word of God is going to be tested.

Giving is not about pleasing God, it’s about trusting Him with small things so that He can trust us with bigger things.

2 questions to ask the Lord:

  1. Is there a lie that I’m believing about my current situation.  What is the truth? (If you’re not feeling hope, you’re believing a lie.)
  2. Is there a lie I’m believing about who You want to be for me?  What is the truth?
