Raising Giant Killers – Part 1
Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him.
Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth.
Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them.
Psalm 127:3-5 (NIV)
Although we are all born into war, our children are a gift from God.
A child functioning according to his or her gift and design wreaks havoc on the powers of darkness.
A household full of children will not bring shame on your name, but victory when you face your enemies, for your offspring will have influence and honor to prevail on your behalf!
Psalm 127:5 (TPT)
Death once held us in its grip, and by the blunder of one man, death reigned as king over humanity. But now, how much more are we held in the grip of grace and continue reigning as kings in life, enjoying our regal freedom through the gift of perfect righteousness in the one and only Jesus, the Messiah!
In other words, just as condemnation came upon all people through one transgression, so through one righteous act of Jesus’ sacrifice, the perfect righteousness that makes us right with God and leads us to a victorious life is now available to all.
Rom. 5:17-18 (TPT)
We fight from victory, not for victory.
Your hand-to-hand combat is not with human beings, but with the highest principalities and authorities operating in rebellion under the heavenly realms. For they are a powerful class of demon-gods and evil spirits that hold this dark world in bondage.
Because of this, you must wear all the armor that God provides so you’re protected as you confront the slanderer, for you are destined for all things and will rise victorious.
Ephesians 6:12-13 (TPT)
Spiritual warfare is not devil focused.
“God! Arise with awesome power, and every one of your enemies will scatter in fear!”
Psalm 68:1 (TPT)
“God’s high and holy praises fill their mouths, for their shouted praises are their weapons of war!”
Psalm 149:6 (TPT)
Victory unfolds as we celebrate and honor Him with praise.
But the men who had gone up with him said, “We can’t attack those people; they are stronger than we are.”
And they spread among the Israelites a bad report about the land they had explored. They said, “The land we explored devours those living in it. All the people we saw there are of great size.
We saw the Nephilim there (the descendants of Anak come from the Nephilim). We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them.”
Numbers 13:31-33 (NIV)
Seeing any part of our lives, whether our past, present or future, without God at the center is seeing a lie.
The enemy always tries to make us more aware of our problems than the solutions we carry.
“If God allows a Goliath in front of you, He must know there’s a David inside of you.”
